Jessica Cotton District.

Yesteray our class took a trip to the Cotton District. Instead of cotton farms and shantys, we discovered a Belgium European  style homes with courtyards and cafes. The homes were small and defiantly not monochromatic. There was a foundation with tables by the cafe and community mailboxes that served to catalyze  making  connections and forming an interconnected community. Everything was within walking distance which was a plus. We even saw people walking a cute Lab puppy.
There was not a lot of yard space  and I t tend to like privacy. The cobblestone roads were narrow and parking space low in order to serve as a negative incentive to drive.

  1. I might be against the crowd in this room but I find this painting somewhat tacky./ Streets are for driving not painting. It just seems like someone will get in a wreck and sue. But I have never seen it done so maybe it will be beautiful. It is in a neighborhood. It will be interesting to see how this goes.
