The design for Bay Meadows is planned like most transit
oriented communities. The streets are said to be very safe. The buildings are
nearby and compact. There are many local shops and businesses that provide jobs
for citizens. They also create a feeling of home. Because of the denseness of
Bay Meadows public buses and bikes can be used to replace cars.

This area began as a place overrun by offices and
businesses. The land is very spread out and there isn’t a real sense of unity.
However, soon this will change. Two teams of designers will have the jobs of
remodeling the community. Half will work with housing and diversion, and the
other half will focus more on the city’s environment. Both will implement TOD
into their plans.
