Mass Transit

Jasmine Brock:
Hollywood and Highland:
Hollywood and Highland station is located in the heart of Hollywood, California. The station is integrated with a mixed use retail and entertainment center. Hollywood and Highland is intended to transport anywhere between 8 to 10 million tourists a year. The Hollywood and Highland development is made up of lots of retail space, a hotel, a movie theater, the Kodak Theater, a public plaza, and a huge parking garage.

Berkeley BART:
The Berkeley BART station is located in California. It is a mixed use, medium density, and walkable downtown. The downtown does not have an public transportation at this time, but they are working diligently to put one in. The Berkeley BART station is located a block away for the University of California Berkeley campus. The city also plans to accommodate higher density mixed use projects for affordable housing. However, city policies and development procedures and processes have restricted development in the downtown despite the pro’s to this project.
