Students will be modeling the included plan in Sketchup and writing a short story about the community. The narrative will discuss why this community's design has a lower ecological footprint and how it may change in the future to become more resilient. The story could include discussions about energy, waste, water, food, transportation, etc.
The second sheet contains perspective drawings of what the architecture and exterior spaces may look like for reference. The model should be very basic with buildings, trees, people, and cars all rendered (colored). Final images to be included with the narrative will have shadows turned on showing 2:00 in the afternoon on the students birthday.
